Once slated for clearcutting, Teal Slough is one of the last remaining remnants of the old growth cedar forest that once surrounded Willapa Bay. In this tour you’ll meet Rex Ziak, who was instrumental in saving this very special place, and explore the ancient cedars that crown this wild place.
- Meet at the Willapa National Refuge headquarters on highway 101 (mile post 24).
- Limited to 13 participants; must be a registered attendee of Wings Over Willapa.
- Some walking involved including a short hill.
