Ellsworth Creek Hike Into the Giants – Friday, 9/24, 1pm – 3pm
Join us for a hike into the Ellsworth Creek Preserve in SW Willapa Bay. This is a 3.5-mile strenuous hike through an Old Growth Western Red Cedar and Spruce forest down to Ellsworth Creek. Along the way, Forest Manager Kyle Smith will share what The Nature Conservancy and the Willapa National Wildlife Refuge are doing to help restore these forests.
- 4wd or all-wheel drive vehicles are required.
- Participants will meet at the Willapa NWR – Cutthroat Creek parking area and follow Kyle in their own vehicles to Ellsworth Creek to begin their hike.
- Rain gear (depending on weather) and sturdy hiking boots are required.
- Limited to 10 participants
