Description

THIS IS A 2019 EVENT! PLEASE CHECK BACK LATER THIS YEAR FOR 2020 REGISTRATION DETAILS, OR JOIN OUR FACEBOOK GROUP!

Join Naturalists Jim & Bea Harrison for a 1-hour bird/nature hike. After scoping the mouth of the Columbia River for water birds and bald eagles, we will walk the beautiful surrounding forest trails. Last year’s highlights were golden-crowned kinglets, Townsend’s warblers and peregrine falcons. Jim and Bea have led birding trips for over 25 years and work as summer interpreters at the Interpretive Center. They will be glad to share their local knowledge of flora, fauna, history and geology.   Note: Fairly strenuous uphill walk from parking lot to Center and moderate, uneven trail surfaces. Wear sturdy shoes, prepare for possible rainy conditions. There is no fee for this walk.

  • Held at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center at Cape Disappointment State Park. You will need a Discover Pass to park here; details on passes at https://www.discoverpass.wa.gov/
  • Limited to 10 participants
  • Must be a registered attendee of Wings Over Willapa
